1 year old GSD/Pointer mix Duke was relegated to a pen in the backyard most of his life so he's having to learn manners, walking on a leash, and potty training. He was almost feral when WAAL took him in. Duke is a little love bug when he wants to be but is still quite a puppy and loves to play with other dogs. He would love a partner in crime to play with all day! Playing hours on end would be his dream come true. Duke is quite vocal when he wants to play or wants his human's attention; he emits a low, ominous growl when he wants to play that can sound scary but he's harmless! Treats, treats, treats are his best friend! Duke may always ... (Read More)have some degree of skittishness but his foster is putting in lots of time to work as much of it out as possible; socialization is a priority. Duke has done fine around cats and is kennel training. He does well with strangers who are female, but is skittish of men until he warms up. Duke is an escape artist and can climb, so he absolutely requires at least a 6 foot fence, no chain-link. Duke is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative!
