Please read our adoption process at Physically fencing is required ***** E-fencing is not accepted*** Meet Sadie! She is an energetic female that you would never guess was 7 years old by the way she still plays, fetch is her favorite! Watch her video for all the tail wagging, butt wiggling excitement! She listens when called and follows general commands. She's as sweet as can be with her favorite spot being curled up in a ball on the couch against you. She loves car rides and is good with kids. Wouldn't you like to give me a forever home?

Rescue Me ID: 15-09-06-00623Gracee (female)

German Shorthaired Pointer    Age: Adult

Our adoption process can be found at 6 years ago I was born. I had a mom and brothers and sisters. I started to grow and learned how to play and do what puppies do. Then one day I was taken to a new home with a new family. I was loved and had a great life in the beginning ( I thought.) I spent 6 years living with them . I was loving, loyal and such a good sweet girl, I couldn't figure out why they stopped playing with me and spending time with me. I became very depressed and anxious. I gained a lot of weight and was so unhappy. Then one morning I went for a ride with my dad and I was excited to go. We pulled up and ... (Read More)parked and then he walked me into a big building. I could hear and smell lots of other dogs. He was talking to someone and then he handed my leash to them, left me and never came back. What did I do wrong? I was so scared! I didn't want to eat and I was sleeping, or trying to, in a strange scary place. I just didn't understand. A few days passed and a nice lady came and picked me up. I was still scared but was so happy to be out of that place. I am so thankful to her for saving me and getting me to a safe place. I stayed with her and the family for a few days then went on another journey. I am now at my foster home and I have some others just like me there too. All I want is love, and even though I was let down and hurt I have plenty of love to give in return. I wish every dog I saw in that awful place had a chance like me. I will never understand why I was left but I am so very thankful for everyone that has helped set me free. I may have had my heart and spirit broken, but I know now I will have a chance to be loved like I deserve. In fact, I feel more loved now than I ever was. My new name is Gracee and I love it, along with my new start in life. I do however want to thank my former so called family for abandoning me, because guess what, my life will now be better than it ever was with you!! PHYSICAL FENCING REQUIRED!!! (Less)
