Rescue Me ID: 15-03-19-00644Loki (male)

German Shorthaired Pointer    Age: Young Adult

For German Shorthaired Pointers: GPPR covers the states of Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota Hi Hiii Hiiii Hiiiiiiiiiiii! I'm Loki. I'm a big, handsome, sweet, energetic 3 year old GSP with plenty of love to share with my new family. I'm great with people of all sizes, including the little ones and I do really well with other dogs, too. I know how to sit, lay down, come, shake, and stay. I could probably use some obedience training because I'm built like a tank and haven't quite mastered impulse control yet. As a 3 year old, it is no secret that I'm a bundle of energy and need lots of exercise and mental stimulation. I like to chase ... (Read More)tennis balls and gnaw on chewies. Oh and running. I really like running around and looking for stuff to chase so I can run around some more. I come from a stable family environment but I need to find a new home because I tried to eat the family cat and nearly succeeded a few times. I get a little anxious when left alone and would probably do best if I had another dog at home with me. I also like to run and follow-my-own-nose so I would do best in a home with a fenced yard or some other means of keeping me safe. Loki is located in Minnesota. (Less)

Roxie is a beautiful and spirited 10-year-old German shorthiared pointer. She is an owner surrender. Roxie loves to run, and will be adopted to a family with a large fenced yard, to keep her safe while she gets the exercise she needs. Roxie would not make a great hunter as loud noises to frighten her, but she has so much love to give and would be a great addition to any family. Roxie's adoption fee is $150 plus tax ($160.31)

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-15-00095Millie (female)

German Shorthaired Pointer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Well, Hellooooo.....I'm Millie. I have one pretty blue eye and one pretty brown eye to go along with my pretty face and extra-pretty long tail. I am one of the sweetest GSP-mixes you'll ever meet, I promise. I came to GPPR a few months ago after I was found in a ditch by the side of the road. I don't like to talk about what happened, but I couldn't walk and I had to have surgery on my hip. I'm recovering nicely and I have some terrific kangaroo dance moves to show you! I can jump a 4 ft fence with the greatest of ease'| I'm the Great Millieroo! I'm about 2 years old. I can see and hear just fine (sometimes people wonder about that because ... (Read More)of my eyes). Here's the thing'| I really need a job. My GSP side of the family has hard workers, no doubt. But it is my Herding Breed side of the family that really influences my behavior. And we need to work, work, work. Or else we get into trouble, trouble, trouble. I have a lot of energy and am super-intelligent. I would do best in a home with someone who is herding-dog-savvy and maybe even has other herding dogs who will help keep me in line. I'm smart, bossy, nippy, and a bit weird about being away from my people'| you know, all the things that make me a good herding dog. I'm also an amateur car-herder, so I'll need extra supervision, training, fencing, and/or a good tie out system to make sure I don't get hurt (again). I have been working very hard to overcome my separation and kennel anxieties. I have a hard time relaxing until my pack leader lets me know exactly what I should be doing and makes me work for my privileges. I'm just sort of old fashioned, that way. I have stopped eating kennels in my spare time but still have some work ahead of me in the anxiety department. Are you a confident pack leader in search of a sweet little Millieroo? I'm an intelligent, loyal, snuggly, playful, hard-working, sometimes-a-little-impish girl with so much love to give. Call me! Millie is being fostered near Minneapolis, MN. (Less)
