|Rescue Me ID: 13-10-26-00131Creole (male)|
Creole is a six year old pointer mix looking for a very special home. He loves to chase tennis balls, go for long walks, swim, chew on nylabones, and get as many ear scratches as he can. He is in need of a child free home by early 2014 as an indoor dog, preferably an only dog. He was hit by a car as a puppy just before I rescued him and has a plate in his left rear leg, with a lot of lingering insecurity to go with it. As a result, he is not at all safe with young children and we'll be having a baby in January of next year, so we're trying to find him a home that is safe for everyone. We adopted him and did our best to work with trainers and let him know he was safe and loved, but were unable to overcome his deep set insecurities. He can be a little persnickety, but once you know his cues, he is a pretty darn good companion. We're willing to travel up to 12 hours one way from NJ to meet his new owner and help you get to know him. (Less)
