This is the amazing HUCKLEBERRY, a 4 year old German Shorthair Pointer/Lab mix. He's loving and playful and full of life. He's kind of a doofus sometimes and really loves belly rubs, but can also be majestic, graceful and steadfast. HUCKLEBERRY is well-behaved and knows tons of commands like hi-five with both paws back and forth, sit, stay, wait, lay down, relax, spin, and go to his spot. HUCKLEBERRY loves bananas and bread more than anything, but won't turn his nose up to a cherry tomato or cucumber slice or scrap of meat. He can tug with the best of 'em, plays catch, and really loves to swim. He would be a fantastic companion for someone who is active and has a large yard for him to run. HUCKLEBERRY is not great with other animals and has not been tested with children. Are you the person who will give HUCKLEBERRY the wonderful home he deserves? HUCKELBERRY is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on core vaccines. Adoption fee is $325. Please note that training is highly recommended for all young dogs. As with all rescue animals, breed determination cannot be validated without genetic testing. Visit WWW.LULUSRESCUE.ORG and click on the ADOPT tab for an overview of Lulu's Rescue adoption process. Thanks for adopting and saving a life -- you are HUCKLEBERRY'S hero! (Less)

|Animal ID: BRL 0538Peanut (male)|
OK- you got us. Peanut is not a purebred beagle. BUT, he is a research hero and we brought him into our Lab to Leash Division after he helped researchers and veterinarians make important advances in parasitology. We did a DNA analysis of Peanut, and his results came back as 37.5% beagle, 25% German Shorthaired Pointed, 12% English Spring Spaniel, 12% Portuguese Water Dog (??!) and 12% mixed hound. The one thing all of those breeds are is: friendly, and that describes Peanut to a tee! Peanut is 3 years old and just wants to please you. He LOVES toys, so they must be in abundance in his adoptive home! The other breeds mixed in with the beagle resulted in a dog who LOVES to fetch! Peanut struggles a little bit with understanding the social cues of other dogs, so we recommend placing him as an only pet. He does fine with some dogs, and he just seems to really annoy others! Peanut is a curious dog and with a Sporting and Hound background, he does have a strong prey drive, so although he does not want or try to hurt the cats in his house, his instinct is to chase, so we suggest no cats in the home at all. Peanut would do best with experienced dog owners who have the time to help him with his housetraining. Since he wants to please and is food motivated, training will go well with the right adopter! We would love to see Peanut with an active adopter who will take him on walks, and introduce him to the world. Peanut loves every person he has met and has an excitement and zest for life that should match that of his adopter!
